1. Junior Assistant (Grade-III)
Number of Positions: 13
Scale of Pay: Pay Band-2 Rs. 14,000-70,000, Grade Pay Rs. 5,600
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree from any stream (Arts/Science/Commerce) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 6 months Diploma in Computer Application.
2. Multi Tasking Staff (Grade-IV)
Number of Positions: 13
Scale of Pay: Pay Band-1 Rs. 12,000-52,000, Grade Pay Rs. 3,900
Educational Qualification:
- Passed Class VIII from any recognized institute.
- Must be registered in Employment Exchange.
Other Criteria of DC Sonitpur Recruitment 2024
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 01.01.2024. Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories:
- 5 years for ST/SC
- 3 years for OBC/MOBC
- 2 years for Ex-Servicemen
- 10 years for PwBD

- Submit duly filled applications along with necessary documents either by post or by hand to the Office of the District Commissioner, Sonitpur.
- Clearly superscribe the envelope with the post applied for.
- Application Deadline: 25th April, 2024, until 5:00 PM.

Selection Criteria for Grade-III:
- Part I: Written Test (150 marks) covering General English, General Knowledge (Assam’s History, Geography, and Culture), and Arithmetic. Qualifying marks: 50% for unreserved category and 40% for reserved category.
- Part II: Computer Test (50 marks). Candidates must score at least 20 marks to qualify.
- Preference will be given to experienced and local residents.
Selection Criteria for Grade-IV:
- Written Test (50 marks) covering Assamese language (30 marks) and General Knowledge (20 marks).
- Preference will be given to experienced and local residents.
Issuance of Call Letter/Admit Card:
- Call letters/admit cards will be uploaded on the district website sonitpur.assam.gov.in.
- Candidates should regularly check the website for updates on date, time, and venue.
